New Moon Ceremony Guide

2º Leo ~ Feel your Heart to Light Up Your Path

As the new moon moves to 2º Leo (opposed Pluto 2º Aquarius), the field invites us transform, to shift from inner purification (Cancer’s emotional distillation) into heart-based coherence ~ where feeling becomes our light source, not our shadow. Much personal and ancestral karma has been processed and released these past few years, it seems a universal trend, and now with space opening up, we can use our hearts to gauge what feeds our soul the most. What is most coherent, in resonant harmony with our higher selves and the greater good.

1. Set and Cleanse the Space

Prepare Your Sacred Space
  • Choose a quiet area where you won't be disturbed

  • Tidy the space and remove any clutter

  • Dim the lights or use candles for gentle illumination

Cleansing Options

  • Light sage, palo santo, or incense and move it around the space

  • Use sound cleansing with bells, singing bowls, or clapping

  • Visualize white light filling and purifying the area

  • Simply set the intention that this space is sacred and protected

2. Gather Crystals and Meaningful Objects

Suggested Items to Include
  • Crystals that resonate with your intentions (clear quartz for clarity, amethyst for intuition, rose quartz for love, etc. whatever crystals and meanings they hold for you...)

  • Personal meaningful objects (jewelry, photos, talismans)

  • Items representing the elements (candle for fire, bowl of water, stone for earth, feather for air)

  • Journal and pen for writing

  • A glass bowl or jar for moon water

Arrangement
  • Place these items around you in a way that feels harmonious

  • Create a small altar or simply arrange them within reach

  • Hold each item briefly and set an intention for its presence.

3. Breath Work

Centering Breath Practice
  • Sit comfortably with your spine straight, feel the bottoms of your feet touching the ground, drawing harmonic coherence up from the earth’s memory-field.

  • Visualize a living column of golden light descending from Source, through your crown, spiraling around your spine, and rooting into the crystalline core of the Earth.

  • Close your eyes and bring attention to your natural breath

  • Take 3 deep cleansing breaths: inhale for 3 counts, hold for 6, exhale for 9

  • Continue with gentle, conscious breathing for 5-10 minutes

  • With each exhale, release tension and old energy, feel it draining into the earth for recycling

  • With each inhale, invite in fresh possibility and lunar energy, filling your essence with vitality

This breath rhythm (3-6-9) attunes your field to harmonic coherence: 3 as beginning, 6 as resonance, 9 as completion—a fractal of the universal triangle: receive ~ integrate ~ release. This is the geometry of becoming

4. Intention Setting

Reflection Questions
  • What do I want to create in this lunar cycle?

  • What areas of my life are ready for growth and commitment?

  • How do I want to act and feel in the coming month?

  • What actions will support my highest good?

  • Where can I clear space in my life to make room for what I desire?

Writing Your Intentions
  • Pause for a moment. Ask not only what do I desire? but what is already desiring to emerge through me?

  • Write 3-5 clear, positive intentions

  • Use present tense as if they're already happening ("I am..." rather than "I will...")

  • Be specific and heartfelt

  • Invocation: "As I set and state these intentions, I witness them as harmonic reflections ~ not demands of the future, but memory-fields already vibrating through now" (feel free to create your own invocation)

  • Read them aloud to give them voice and power, feeling the resonance in your chest, letting your voice vibrate your heart field—where coherence activates, and intention remembers itself.

  • Place the written intentions near your crystals or under your moon water

5. Create Moon Water

Preparation
  • Fill a clean glass bowl or jar with fresh water

  • Hold the container and set your intention for the water to be blessed and charged

  • Place it outside or by a window where it can receive moonlight (even if the moon isn't visible, its energy is present)

  • You may add a crystal to the water if it's safe for the stone (avoid stones like selenite that dissolve)

Blessing the Water
  • Hold your hands over the water

  • Speak your love, appreciation and intentions into it

  • Visualize the new moon's energy infusing the water with potential and renewal

6. Closing and Appreciation

Gratitude Practice
  • Thank the new moon for its energy and presence

  • Express gratitude for this time of renewal and possibility

  • Appreciate your commitment to your growth and intentions

  • Thank any guides, ancestors, or higher powers you work with or feel connected to

Sealing the Ceremony
  • Take three final deep breaths

  • Gently blow out any candles

  • Keep your moon water overnight to charge (retrieve in the morning)

  • Place your written intentions somewhere you'll see them regularly

Integration
  • In the days following, drink your moon water mindfully

  • Take concrete steps toward your intentions

  • Notice signs and synchronicities

  • Trust in the seeds you've planted

Remember: This ceremony is yours to adapt. Follow your intuition and modify any elements to feel authentic to your practice.
